Tough Times Call for FOCUSed Management

Two uncertainties keep many business leaders awake at night, and uneasy
during the day.

The first of these has to do with strategy.

  • Is our strategy sound?
  • Does it position us for success today and in the future?
  • Do our employees get it and do they care enough to make it happen – are they engaged?

The second is all about execution.
  • Do people understand their roles in achieving success?

Every organization, no matter what size, shape or purpose, has some degree of wobble. Think about yours. Ask yourself those questions – close the door and say them out loud, if you dare.

Does the true picture, in all its frustrating,
confounding reality, look more like this?

Can you put names, titles and functions next to some of the more “interesting” and “memorable” graphics? We’ll bet you can.

Sure, it’s overplayed. But after working with hundreds of organizations and thousands of
executive and management teams, we have yet to encounter anyone who has failed to see some real
personal truths in that picture. Though a few have tried to deny it…
